Among Us Multiplayer – Sync Kill RPC (PUN 2 in Unity)

For this lesson on how to network Among Us with Photon in Unity, I will show you how to sync the kill mechanic with an RPC. This will make it so when the imposter kills a player it happens across all clients and a body prefab is instantiated across the network as well.

Among Us Multiplayer – Photon Spawn Points (PUN 2 in Unity)

In this video on how to make our Among Us project multiplayer, I will show you how to network the spawn points of the players using Photon. This is done by creating new empty game objects to serve as transforms for the spawn points. We will then create a new script that holds these transform in an array. We will Change the Photon Player script to spawn the player’s avatar on the corresponding spawn point.

How To Make Among Us Task – Shields

Let’s show you how to make the shields task in unity from Among Us. This series is focusing on the mini-game/ mini-task portion of Among Us. We are building the level and character movement in Among Us with the series located here: https://www.infogamerhub.com/among-us-lesson-1/

The task that we are focusing on in this post is the Shields task/mini-game. The image above is for reference.

If you are wondering why the end result doesn’t look as pretty as the reference image it is because I didn’t spend the time to make it look exactly like it (reasoning for this is due to laziness and the rest is due to be a quicker prototype)(You might notice the missing turtle feet, whoops :)). I wanted to make sure to cover the overall functionality of the task was correct. We do recommend You change the task up to look and behave a little differently if you are to implement this in your own game.

Make Among Us Hierarchy
This shows where to attach the script and grid layout groups. It also shows the overall layout of the task. The buttons have an image attached to them, for some reason I thought I needed a different sprite for outline and fill. If you only have one sprite you will not need the additional image attached.

Notice and review!! The shield script section in the panel inspector. The second inspector shows one of the buttons On Click function is set to the number 6. The rest of the buttons will also be numbered 0-6
