Learn to Install Unity Hub
What is Unity Hub
For this quick lesson, I show you how to get started with creating games in Unity. The first thing you will need to do is install Unity Hub. Unity Hub is a program launcher that is used to manage all of your Unity projects and versions of Unity.
How to Install
To Install Unity Hub First go to the official Unity website which is www.Unity.com. Once loaded, click the blue button that says Get Started. Next, select the pricing plan you wish to use. For this tutorial, we will be using the personal plan which is found underneath the individual tab. It is important to note that the personal version can only be used if your Revenue or funding is less than a hundred thousand per year. With that said you want to click get started underneath where it says free.
You then need to pick if you are a first-time user or returning user if you select the first time using it will give you some additional tutorials which will help you get your feet wet but for this tutorial, I’m going to click the go here button under returning users. Now confirm that you are eligible to use the personal version. Next, scroll down and click download Unity hub. This will then download the installer for Unity Hub. Once it’s finished downloading we will then run this executable.
You may then need to authorize this file to run on your computer after which a window will appear asking you to agree to the terms of service go click agree. You can then select the file location for where you want Unity Hub to be installed and finally will click install. Depending on your computer and your network speed Unity Hub will take several minutes to install. Once it’s finished installing You can click finish we’ll then open Unity hub.
