To install or update a new version of the Unity editor first open up Unity Hub. then go to the installs tab. Now, click the Add button in the top right. This will open a new window with the latest version of Unity. If you need to download an older version then you will need to click the download archive link and install that version manually. You will then need to use the locate button to find where you install that version on your computer. If you are installing the latest version of Unity then selected it. Remember that if there is an f in the version number then it is a final production version whereas an a or b means it is an alpha or beta version. Once you have chosen then click next. On this page, it asks you what other build supports you would like to install as well. If you are unsure what you need, don’t worry you can always install them later. Then click next and on this page, you need to agree to the terms and conditions, then click done. This will start the installation process. Depending on your computer and your network speed this will take several minutes to install.

How to Change the Unity Install Location
Before you install a new version of Unity using Unity hub you may want to change the install location. To do this click on the gear icon in the top right corner. This will take you to the preference of Unity hub. Then in the general tab under Unity Editors Folder, you will see an input field title Unity Editors Path. Here you can click the three dots which will open up your file explorer. Find the location you wish to use and then click Select Folder. Finally, click save. This will make it so any time you add a new Unity version to your computer it will be installed in this new location. Keep in mind that Unity editor is a fairly good size program and like me, you might end up having more than one version of Unity installed so you will want to pick a location that has plenty of free space.
How to Update Unity License
In Unity hub, you are able to manage your Unity license. This is done by Clicking on the gear icon and then the License Management tab. Here you can activate a new license, manually activation, upgrade to a professional version of Unity, release a license, and check for updates. To activate a new license click the Activate New License button. This will open a new window asking you to specify what kind of license you wish to use. The Unity Personal version is free to use as long as your revenue or funding is below 100 thousand or if you do not use unity in a professional capacity. If you Select Plus or pro then it will ask you to enter the serial number of your paid license. If you do not have a serial number then you can purchase the upgrade by clicking the buy professional edition link at the bottom of this page. This will then take you to where you can purchase a license on the official Unity website.
Manual Activation is for when you do not have an active or open internet connection although it does require using a device that does. To release a license, simply click the return license button and then confirm you want to return the license. This will free up your current license serial number so others on your team may use it. To check for updates click the Check For Updates button. Unity hub will then take a second to check for changes. Unity hub will give you a message down at the bottom, if your license is out of date or not. Finally, if you need more help or information. Click the help or FAQ.
